My role in the agency is to manage the day to day operations and to facilitate the working environment where we put the members first. I still enjoy working with all of our members and continue to concentrate in the commercial marketplace.
The thing I enjoy the most about my work is talking with people that I have had insured for many years and still being able to mange their insurance programs. It shows that they still have the trust and confidence to allow me to keep doing that. I continue to take 24 hours of continuing education every two years to keep up with the many changes in our industry.
I have been actively involved in a local program where we deliver turkeys to the less fortunate at a select number of churches each year. We deliver about 125 turkeys each year and to see the happiness it brings is priceless.
I am married and have a incredible son, Jordan. I enjoy all sports, love to compete on the golf course and enjoy outdoor concerts. I am proud to say that I graduated from Virginia Tech and make it to several football games a year. I enjoyed coaching baseball since Jordan was 4 through 13 where he then became a superior golf & tennis player. I also have a great experience as the assistant tennis coach at Hickory High School in Chesapeake.
